Questions About Permanent Eyeliner
PERMANENT EYELINER TREATMENTS FAQs
-
No, we ask you to remove your contact lenses during your treatment, if you have glasses please wear these instead. If possible please continue to wear your glasses instead of your contact lenses for 3-4 days post treatment as well.
-
Of course you can, we advise you to opt for an eyeliner similar to your daily makeup. You have the option of just the top liner, or top and bottom liner - it’s all personal preference and that decision is entirely up to you.
-
Eyelash extensions or strip lashes must be removed before your eyeliner tattoo treatment, and they cannot be reapplied until after both sessions of your treatment have had time to heal. We also advise stopping the use of any lash growth serums before your treatment as these increase blood flow to the area which can increase the chance of bruising and poor healed results.
-
Many people can benefit from an eyeliner tattoo, including:
those who wear eyeliner every day
those who struggle to apply eyeliner
those with fair lashes who want to enhance their eyes
those who have lost their eyelashes due to alopecia or other conditions
those who are sensitive to regular cosmetics
those who lead an active lifestyle and want makeup that can withstand swimming and exercise
-
We tend to only work with black or very dark brown to achieve a natural result.
-
You can wear makeup on the rest of the face but you should avoid applying any eye makeup, including mascara, for 2 weeks whilst the area heals.
-
Theres a possibility that you could experience some swelling, redness, tenderness and sometimes bruising although this is less common, unless you typically bruise easily or have particularly thin skin. Any swelling usually subsides within 2-3 days at most. Soft gel ice packs can be used to ease this side effect.
-
Each individuals pain threshold is different - like any permanent makeup treatment we can't guarantee it will be totally pain free, however every effort is taken to ensure you are as comfortable as possible during your treatment through the use of numbing agents.
-
This depends on the style of eyeliner you choose. A wing would achieve a more dramatic look whereas the invisible liner is achieve a subtle, natural result that makes your lashes look thicker without appearing like you've applied any makeup!
-
Provided you visit an artist who is experienced in performing eyeliner tattoo treatments then yes, it is a very safe treatment. With that being said, as the treatment involves breaking the skin there are some risks associated. Although they are rare its important you do your research and take the proper precautions before booking your appointment.
-
In the unlikely event that you don't like your results there are a few removal options - removal can be tricky due to the eye area being delicate & sensitive but it is possible. Saline and laser are the two popular methods, however be sure that your practitioner is equipped to treat the eye area.
